1.1    Dear Effie Charitable Trust (Dear Effie, we, us and our) is committed to protecting your personal information (you or your).

2.1    This privacy policy applies to all instances in which personal information is collected from you or your parent or guardian, by Dear Effie.
2.2    By using the services offered by Dear Effie (Services), you consent to the collection, use, disclosure, storage and processing of your and/or your child’s personal information in accordance with this privacy policy.

3.1    Dear Effie will collect the following personal information:
(a) Any communication with Dear Effie either directly, in person, via phone, email, through our social media, or website, www.deareffie.co.nz (Website).
(b) Information obtained by or submitted to Dear Effie from you and/or your parent or guardian through your or your parent or guardian’s use (or prospective use) of the Services.
3.2    Dear Effie may supplement the information provided to it with information it receives from third parties.
3.3    We do not collect any other personal information about you and/or your child, including details about race, ethnicity, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, political information or any other genetic or biometric data.

4.1    Dear Effie may, in addition to other information, collect the following information about you and/or your child:

          (d) email address;
          (e) gender;
          (f) date of birth; and
          (g) any other information requested in our application for support.
4.2    If you choose not to provide information when we ask for it, you and/or your child may not be able to use the Services.

5.3    Dear Effie reserves the right to use data (on a strictly anonymous basis) in relation to your or your child’s use of the Services for marketing, promotion and accounting purposes.

6. Cookies

6.1    Dear Effie uses cookies (being an alphanumeric identifier that we transfer to your computer’s hard drive so that we can recognise your browser) to monitor your use of the Website. Members may disable cookies by changing the settings on their browser, although this may mean that you cannot use all of the features of the Website.

10.1    Dear Effie may change this policy from time to time. We will provide notice of the change by uploading a revised privacy policy on our Website. You agree to be bound by the privacy policy that is in effect at the time you use the Services and you will be deemed to have accepted the updated privacy policy if you continue to use our Website, social media or the Services. You should periodically review the most up to date privacy policy on our Website.
10.2    If any provision in this privacy policy is found to be invalid, void or unenforceable, this will not affect the validity of any other provision in this privacy policy.
